Peter Nathanson

I practice law because of the human relationships it invites. I enjoy the process of helping clients in practical and creative ways.

My practice involves an iconoclastic mix of corporate/commercial law, health law, municipal law, litigation and property law. I have been very fortunate to represent individuals, small businesses, multi-national companies and institutions. My experience ranges from residential purchases and sales to commercial transactions involving millions of dollars. I have litigated matters in the contexts of employment law, commercial law, personal injury and construction law. I have appeared before all levels of Court in Nova Scotia, as well as at administrative tribunals, arbitrations and mediations.

I have been involved with a number of charitable and service organizations, and have served as the Chair of the Acadia Cinema Co-Operative, a founding member of the Bio-Ethics Committee of the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, a founding member of the Research Ethics Board of Acadia University. I am a past President of the Kings County Barristers Society.

Kate Seaman

I graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1996 and I was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1997. I am a general law practitioner who spends much of my time in the areas of family, property, wills and estate law.

I am a member of the Rotary Club of Kentville and I believe in the adage of “service above self.” I am also involved in the Annapolis Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Kings County Barristers Society and I volunteer with the KCA safe arrival program and the KCA ski club.

I love spending time with my life partner and three kidlets. I am also very fond of tea, yoga, and spending time with my friends & family.

Bill Watts

We all have a sense of right and wrong. Finding the balance is what intrigues me about the law. We all need help at some point. Helping is my job: It’s why I practice law.

Since being called to the Bar in 1998, I have had a fairly broad, general practice. I have assisted clients with family and divorce matters, estate issues, litigation matters, corporate organizations and commercial transactions. Today, most of my practice is focused on prosecutions, property transactions, estate planning and commercial transactions.

I am a member of the executive of the Kings County Barristers’ Society and a Past President of our local chapter of Big Brothers’ and Big Sisters’. Like most parents of teenage children, I spend most of my time away from the office watching them enjoy their activities.
